How to Play Pokemon Merger

Overview

Pokemon Merger is a fan-made type-discovery game. Pick elemental types (like Fire, Water or Ghost) and merge them to discover Pokemon that match those types. Capture Pokemon to add them to your Pokedex and track progress across generations.

Quick Start

1. Choose a generation from the dropdown (top of the page) to narrow the pool of Pokemon.
2. Pick a type from the left panel. You can drag one type onto another to merge, or click a single type to reveal monotype Pokemon.
3. If a Pokemon matches the type-combination it will appear in the center. Click the Pokemon card to capture it.
4. Captured Pokemon are stored locally in your browser and appear in the Pokedex on the right (or bottom on mobile).

Controls & tips

• Drag & drop two types to merge them (desktop and most tablets).
• Tap a single type on mobile to find single-type Pokemon. Multi-type Pokemon cannot be obtained by tapping a single type.
• On mobile, swipe the Pokedex to scroll them horizontally.
• If a type combo has many matches, the game will show one at a time — capture it, then try again to find another.

Progress & Reset

Your captured Pokemon are stored in browser storage. To start over, click the Release All Pokemon button (this clears your local Pokedex).
