How to Play Pokémon Merger

Overview

Pokémon Merger is a fan-made type-discovery game. Pick elemental types (like Fire, Water or Ghost) and merge them to discover Pokémon that match those types. Capture Pokémon to add them to your Pokédex and track progress across generations.

Quick Start

1. Choose a generation from the dropdown (top of the page) to narrow the pool of Pokémon.
2. Pick a type from the left panel. You can drag one type onto another to merge, or click a single type to reveal monotype Pokémon.
3. If a Pokémon matches the type-combination it will appear in the center. Click the Pokémon card to capture it.
4. Captured Pokémon are stored locally in your browser and appear in the Pokédex on the right (or bottom on mobile).

Controls & tips

• Drag & drop two types to merge them (desktop and most tablets).
• Tap a single type on mobile to find single-type Pokémon. Multi-type Pokémon cannot be obtained by tapping a single type.
• On mobile, swipe the Pokédex to scroll them horizontally.
• If a type combo has many matches, the game will show one at a time — capture it, then try again to find another.

Progress & Reset

Your captured Pokémon are stored in browser storage. To start over, click the Release All Pokémon button (this clears your local Pokédex).
